La th\u00e9orie de la s\u00e9lection multiniveaux (MLST) fournit un cadre conceptuel permettant d\u2019articuler la tension entre s\u00e9lection individuelle (au niveau des g\u00e8nes et des organismes) et s\u00e9lection de groupe (au niveau des collectifs). Cet article pr\u00e9sente une revue syst\u00e9matique de 169 \u00e9tudes (1990\u20132024) portant sur la s\u00e9lection multiniveaux, la coop\u00e9ration microbienne, les transitions \u00e9volutives majeures (TEMs), les organismes multicellulaires et les superorganismes sociaux (fourmis, termites, abeilles). Nous comblons le foss\u00e9 entre les approches g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques (Price Equation), \u00e9co-\u00e9volutives (dynamique de groupes) et comportementales (th\u00e9orie des jeux \u00e9volutifs). Nos r\u00e9sultats montrent que la coop\u00e9ration \u00e9merge lorsque la variance intergroupes d\u00e9passe la variance intragroupe, r\u00e9v\u00e9lant l\u2019importance des m\u00e9canismes de structuration spatiale, de partage des b\u00e9n\u00e9fices, de transmission culturelle et de m\u00e9canismes de policing. Enfin, nous proposons une synth\u00e8se int\u00e9grative d\u00e9finissant la coop\u00e9ration comme un ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne \u00e9mergent, n\u00e9cessitant la conjonction de pression s\u00e9lective multi-\u00e9chelles et de contr\u00f4le du conflit interne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Introduction<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La s\u00e9lection naturelle agit simultan\u00e9ment \u00e0 plusieurs niveaux de l\u2019organisation biologique :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>g\u00e8nes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cellules,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>organismes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>groupes sociaux,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>collectifs supra-individuels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette observation soul\u00e8ve un paradoxe :<br><strong>si la s\u00e9lection favorise les individus les plus aptes, comment la coop\u00e9ration \u2014 souvent co\u00fbteuse \u2014 peut-elle \u00e9voluer et se stabiliser ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les approches traditionnelles ont tent\u00e9 de r\u00e9soudre ce probl\u00e8me via :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>la s\u00e9lection de parent\u00e8le (Hamilton),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>la th\u00e9orie des jeux \u00e9volutifs,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices r\u00e9ciproques (Trivers),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>l\u2019altruisme conditionnel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, ces approches ne capturent pas l\u2019ensemble des ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes observ\u00e9s, en particulier :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>la multicellularit\u00e9,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>la division du travail,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>l\u2019\u00e9volution des castes chez les insectes sociaux,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>la coop\u00e9ration microbienne \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>les transitions \u00e9volutives majeures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La <strong>s\u00e9lection multiniveaux (MLS)<\/strong> offre un cadre math\u00e9matique et conceptuel unifiant ces ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Conclusion<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La s\u00e9lection multiniveaux offre un cadre unifi\u00e9 permettant d\u2019expliquer la coop\u00e9ration, les transitions \u00e9volutives majeures et la complexification de la vie. La coop\u00e9ration \u00e9merge lorsque la variance intergroupe l\u2019emporte sur la variance intragroupe, condition rendue possible par la structure spatiale, la transmission verticale, le contr\u00f4le du conflit et l\u2019alignement des int\u00e9r\u00eats par s\u00e9lection de groupe.
