Elle s&#8217;est en outre propag\u00e9e dans les dolomies suivant des chemin\u00e9es appendiculaires \u00e0 la zone failleuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La min\u00e9ralisation primaire sulfur\u00e9e, pr\u00e9sum\u00e9e d&#8217;origine hypog\u00e8ne, est tr\u00e8s complexe, et la r\u00e9partition des diff\u00e9rentes associations min\u00e9rales dans le gisement est interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e comme r\u00e9sul\u00adtant essentiellement de la superposition de venues cuprif\u00e8res sur une venue zincif\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La venue zincif\u00e8re a d&#8217;abord form\u00e9 un gisement pyrite-ars\u00e9nopyrite-blende-gal\u00e8ne, avec Cu, Cd, Bi, Ge, Ga en quantit\u00e9s mineures. Outre l&#8217;amas filonien form\u00e9&nbsp;<em>per ascensum&nbsp;<\/em>le long de la faille, elle a form\u00e9&nbsp;<em>per&nbsp;<\/em><em>descensum&nbsp;<\/em>des pipes dans les dolomies du mur du filon. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 suivie par des venues Cu-Fe, en deux pulsations au moins, dont la deuxi\u00e8me n&#8217;est pas mont\u00e9e aussi haut que la premi\u00e8re dans le gisement. Chacune de ces venues cuprif\u00e8res a comport\u00e9 deux phases : une phase pr\u00e9coce ayant mis en place des filons de chalcopyrite cobaltif\u00e8re, avec molybd\u00e9nite subordonn\u00e9e, et une phase tardive ayant form\u00e9 de la bornite argentif\u00e8re. Les venues cuprif\u00e8res ont remani\u00e9 le gisement Zn-Pb en concentrant certaines phases min\u00e9rales, et en en formant de nouvelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The zinc, lead, and copper deposit at Kipushi, whose structure is known down to 1 000 m of depth, represents a sulfide mineralization replacing sedimentary carbonate formation (dolomite and dolomitic shale) belonging to the lower&nbsp;<em>Kundelungan&nbsp;<\/em>(Precambrian IV), along a transversal fault bordering the locally collapsed crest of an anticline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mineralization spread into the wallrock formations along the bedding planes, which were tectonically opened, and along conjugate fractures. More abundantly, the mineralization spread along the intersection of the fault with the lithostratigraphic contact between the dolomite and the dolomitic shale. It also spread within the pipes connected with the faulted zone, and developed within the dolomite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The primary sulfide mineralization, presumed to be of hypogen origin, is very complex, and the distribution of the different mineral associations in the deposit, is interpreted as essentially the result of the superposition of a copper-bearing mineralization on a zinc-bearing mineralization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To begin with, the zinc-bearing mineralization has formed a pyrite-arsenopyrite-sphalerite-galena deposit, with Cu, Cd, Bi, Ge, and Ga in minor quantities. Besides the main orebody formed&nbsp;<em>per ascensum&nbsp;<\/em>along the fault, it also formed&nbsp;<em>per descensum&nbsp;<\/em>pipes in the dolomite of the wallrock. This was followed by a copper-iron mineralization brought during at least two major stages, the second of which does not rise as high as the first one in the deposit. Each of these copper-bearing stages consisted of two phases: one early phase responsible for the veins of cobaltiferous chalcopyrite with subordinate molybdenite, and a late phase responsible for the silver-bearing bornite.
